To improve the comfort and well-being of animals by providing progressive and compassionate care. We develop a community of animal hospitals and pet resorts that share knowledge to achieve sustainable growth.
We are authentic, kind, and create well-being for each other. We nurture an environment where individuals are engaged, healthy, valued and celebrated.
We achieve success the right way. We are humble, transparent, accountable, trustworthy, and stand by our word.
We create a safe, inclusive, and diverse community where everyone belongs. We celebrate and leverage our unique experiences, perspectives and ideas to build strong teams and expand horizons.
We challenge ourselves to grow, continuously improve, share experiences and embrace new thinking and solutions. We take a long-term perspective, striving to be better today than we were yesterday.
We succeed when our servant leadership enables the strengths of our people and partners. We take a collaborative, thoughtful, and balanced approach.
Since the first hospital joined NVA in 1997, founder Stanley Creighton, DVM has emphasized support for the local medical standards established by individual doctors and practices. He’s always believed that when veterinarians craft strategies specific to their own hospitals and communities, high quality patient care and client services follow.
This vision for local empowerment continues at NVA Canada. We make new tools and resources available to hospitals, helping them achieve their individual medical goals without the restrictions of a standardized plan. Resources include our national medical database, training and education for staff, emerging nationally published research and standards plus much more. Managing veterinarians decide what level of medicine they would like their hospital to reach—then NVA Canada supports them in making it happen.
