What an excellent start to a New Year! Our community took part in various activities throughout January, February and March. With 3 excellent conferences taking place (OVMA, WVC and OAVT) we were so happy to connect with many of our amazing community members, in person! In addition, we kicked off our 2024 Best Practice days and HM 2.0 Training, hosting a plethora of our stellar hospital leaders at our Support Centre in Oakville, Ontario. Take a peak at our event calendar to see where you can find us in through April, May and June!
Farleigh has consistently impressed the team at Westview Veterinary Services with her welcoming demeanour and individualized approach. Clients specifically request her by name and express gratitude for her daily. As Lead Receptionist and Trainer, she developed a comprehensive training manual to ensure her colleagues have the knowledge they need to succeed. Farleigh is actively involved in upcoming inclusion meetings, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a supportive environment at Westview. Farleigh's proactive planning and adaptability shine in her role, embodying NVA Canada's Community value. Thank you, Farleigh, for your invaluable contributions.
The team at Bayridge Animal Hospital proudly recognizes Dr. Palmer for embodying NVA Canada’s We Care and Accountable values. Dr. Palmer joined the Bayridge Animal Hospital as a new graduate in the fall of 2022. She entered the NVA Mentorship program soon after, and has steadily gained experience working independently and alongside our associate DVM's. Always exuding a calm diligence she puts the patients first and strives to offer the best care possible in all cases. Her team notes that she is truly a pleasure to work with. NVA Canada is very grateful to have Dr. Palmer in our community.
Greg and Denis from our operations team were lucky enough to visit Grenville Dundas Veterinary Clinic located in Kemptville, Ontario during a delivery. "There's nothing nicer than walking in for a clinic visit and assisting in the delivery of puppies!" - Denis Daoust, Division Lead
Our International Recruiter Rachelle welcomed Dr. Collado Torres and Dr. Sotto Fontes at Toronto Pearson Airport when they arrived from Mexico City. The trio head straight to St. Catharines, Ontario to get settled, along with their thirteen pieces of baggage! Welcome to the NVA Canada community—we are thrilled to be a part of this chapter.
We look forward to seeing these smiling faces (and the rest of the mentees!) at our Support Centre during the spring mentorship gathering. We'll be focusing on physical examinations, practice management, clinical pathology and more!
A few of our mentees attending the Fundamentals of Dentistry course at the Animal Dental Training Center in Baltimore. Dental skills training is a core piece of our mentorship program!
We'd love to connect! Be sure to come say hi if you're attending any overlapping events in the upcoming months.
